Keep your best Gemini chats in a notebook you can ask later
One line files today's brainstorm into a client's notebook, and next month you can ask it what you decided.

How do I save a Gemini chat into Gemini Notebook?
Type @Gemini Notebook in the Gemini chat and ask it to add the chat to a named notebook (as of October 2026). Use one notebook per client or project so later questions stay focused. If you only need the key points, ask it to save a short summary note as well. Gemini can also use your notebooks on its own when a question is clearly about them.

Your prompt
Fill in your details. Skip any you like.
This AI can't be filled in from a link, so the button copies your prompt: paste it into the new chat.
The prompt that gets copied
@Gemini Notebook Add a copy of this chat to my notebook called [NOTEBOOK NAME, e.g. Dana launch plan]. If that notebook doesn't exist yet, create it. Then save a separate note in the same notebook with a short summary of this chat in three parts: what we decided, open questions, and next steps with who owns each one. Keep the summary under 150 words and date it [TODAY'S DATE]. When you're done, list the sources now in that notebook so I can see it worked.
Type @Gemini Notebook in any Gemini chat to save that chat into a notebook with a short summary. Later, ask what your notebooks say about a topic without opening them.
Step by step
- Finish a useful chat in the Gemini app
- Paste the prompt with @Gemini Notebook and your notebook's name
- Do the same for other chats about that client or project
- Ask from any Gemini chat what your notebooks say about a topic
What you'll get
The chat saved as a source in the right notebook, plus a dated summary of decisions, open questions and next steps you can ask about later.
