Get a training plan built from years of your own Strava workouts
Gemini reads years of your real runs or rides and spots the weeks you burned out before it plans the next ones.
Published . Steps as of October 2026.
Can Gemini make a running plan from my Strava data?
Yes. Connect Strava in Gemini's Customize menu under Connectors, then ask for a plan based on your history. As of October 2026, it's US only and needs a paid Strava subscription. If you're training for a race, give Gemini the date and goal time. If you just want to stay consistent, ask it to find when you usually fall off and plan around that. The connection only reads your data, so nothing changes in Strava.

The prompt that gets copied
Using my connected Strava data, look at my workout history from the last [HOW FAR BACK, e.g. two years]. First, tell me in plain words what you see: how much I usually train each week, my best efforts, when I'm most consistent, and any times I ramped up too fast and then dropped off. Then build me a [PLAN LENGTH, e.g. 8-week] plan toward [YOUR GOAL, e.g. a 10K in under an hour]. I can train [DAYS PER WEEK, e.g. 4 days a week] and I prefer [YOUR PREFERENCES, e.g. long runs on Saturday]. Lay it out week by week with each day's session, the distance or time, and how hard it should feel. Build up gently based on my own history, include easy weeks, and tell me what signs mean I should back off.
Connect Strava to Gemini and ask it to study your workout history. It reads your trends, best efforts and streaks, then builds a weekly plan toward your goal that fits how you really train.
