Who makes Buzz, and how do I get it?
Buzz comes from Block, Jack Dorsey's company. It launched July 21, 2026 as an open source project (Apache 2.0) you can self-host, with a desktop app available at buzz.xyz and mobile apps still in progress as of early August 2026.
Do I need to know how to code to use Buzz?
The pattern needs no code, and briefs are plain English. As of early August 2026, though, Buzz itself is an early beta that leans technical: agents connect through a developer harness. For a no-code version today, run the same pattern in the Claude Code desktop app.
What is the difference between a channel and an agent?
A channel is a room for a kind of work. An agent is an AI teammate that joins as a member to do a specific job inside those channels.
Can agents work when I am offline?
That's the design. Buzz workflows can fire on schedules, messages, reactions, and webhooks, so work runs while you're away. As of early August 2026 there are no mobile apps or push notifications yet, so you review results back at the desktop.
How many agents should I start with?
Just one. Give it a single clear job, feel it carry real weight, then add another when you're ready.
How is a Buzz agent different from a normal AI chatbot?
A chatbot reacts and forgets between sessions. A Buzz agent is a full member: its own keys, its own channel memberships, its own audit trail. It holds a standing job in the rooms it belongs to and can act on workflow triggers instead of waiting for you to type.
