I'm making a family cookbook from [RECIPE KEEPER, e.g. my grandmother]'s recipe cards. Below are the cards typed up word for word. Please: 1. Keep each recipe's original wording in a 'from the card' line, then write a clear modern version with exact amounts, oven temperatures in [OVEN UNITS, e.g. Fahrenheit] and numbered steps. 2. Flag anything unclear, like 'butter the size of an egg', and suggest a modern amount in parentheses. 3. Ask me for one memory about each recipe, then turn my answer into a two-sentence family note. 4. Sort the recipes into chapters, like breakfasts, mains and desserts. 5. Step by step
- Photograph each recipe card in daylight, front and back if there's writing on both sides.
- Upload a few photos at a time to ChatGPT and ask it to type each card exactly as written.
- Paste all the typed recipes and the prompt into Claude, then answer its memory questions.
- Download Claude's table as a CSV, open a cookbook page template in Canva and choose Bulk create.
- Connect each column to its text box, generate the pages, then add a cover and contents page.
- Proofread every page against the cards, then download as PDF Print and print or order bound copies.
