The prompt that gets copied
Read the article I have open and explain it to me in plain English, as if I'm smart but new to the topic. First, give me the main argument in two sentences. Then list each key claim the author makes, and next to each one tell me what evidence the article gives for it (data, a study, an expert, a personal story or nothing at all). Point out any claims that rest on weak or missing evidence, any loaded words, and anything important the author leaves out. Tell me who would likely disagree and why. End with three questions I could ask to test whether this is right. My reason for reading it is [WHY YOU'RE READING IT, e.g. deciding whether to share it].
With an article open in Chrome, ask ChatGPT to explain it in plain English. You get the main argument, the evidence behind each claim, and the weak spots to watch before you share it.
