Does Claude Code handle contracts or give legal advice?
No. Contracts, negotiation, and anything legal stay with you and your broker, full stop. What it drafts is the communication layer of the business: listing descriptions, social posts, first responses to leads, follow-up sequences, and plain-English market updates. Your licensed judgment reviews every word before it goes anywhere.
How does it help with fair-housing compliance?
It drafts only from the property facts you supply and flags the description for your review, and that's where its role ends. As the licensed agent, you read every description for accuracy and for wording that could imply a preference or steer a buyer before it goes live. Storing your compliance notes in the folder gets drafts starting closer to clean, but the final read is yours every single time.
Do I need to code to use it?
Not at all. Claude Code is the Claude desktop app for Mac and PC, and using it feels like texting: you open it, point it at your listing or leads folder, and ask in plain English for the marketing set or a lead response. You'll never see a terminal, a command, or anything developer-shaped, and every draft is built from the material in your folders.
How does it help me follow up with leads faster?
2 ways. The moment an inquiry lands, it turns your lead notes into a warm, personal first response, so a reply that used to wait hours is ready to review in about 30 seconds. Then it builds a light sequence from those same notes, a day-3 check-in, a day-7 value-add, a day-14 nudge, and you approve each touch on your own timing. Leads stay warm because the touches actually go out.
What can it produce for a single listing?
Give it a folder with the property details and photos and it comes back with the full marketing set: a listing description, 3 social captions, and a just-listed post, all in your brand voice and built only from the facts you supplied. It also flags the description for your accuracy and fair-housing review. An evening of marketing work turns into minutes, which means even the modest listings get the full treatment.
How is this different from hiring a marketing assistant?
An assistant brings human judgment and can take on far more than drafting, and for some practices that's worth the wage. On the narrow layer this playbook covers, listing copy and follow-up, Claude Code hands you an on-brand draft in minutes, needs no training ramp, and doesn't get stretched when 3 listings land in the same week. Your review and your license stay in the loop with either choice: you verify the facts, read for fair-housing language, and sign off.
What should I check before a listing goes live?
2 things, every time. Accuracy first: confirm the beds, baths, square footage, and every other fact against your source, because the draft is built from what you provided. Then fair-housing language: read for anything that could suggest a preference or steer a buyer. The pass takes about a minute, and it's the discipline that lets you publish fast without publishing loose.
