## Can Gemini book a restaurant reservation for me?

Yes, if you're in the US or UK: add @OpenTable to a Gemini chat on the web or in the mobile app, connect it, and ask for a table (as of October 2026). It checks availability, books, lists and cancels reservations. It can't change a booking, read menus or show reviews, so check those yourself first. It needs a personal Google account, English and Keep Activity turned on.

## The prompt

Fill in the parts in [square brackets], or leave them and the AI will ask you for them.

```text
@OpenTable I'm planning [THE OCCASION, e.g. my sister's birthday dinner] for [PARTY SIZE, e.g. 6 people] on [DATE AND TIME, e.g. Friday around 7 p.m.] near [AREA OR NEIGHBORHOOD, e.g. downtown]. We'd like [FOOD YOU WANT, e.g. Italian or Greek] and somewhere that suits [THE VIBE, e.g. lively but quiet enough to talk]. One of us [ANY ACCESS NEEDS, e.g. uses a wheelchair]. Check which places have a table within 30 minutes of that time and show me the three best options with the time available. Don't book until I pick one. After I choose, book it and tell me the details to send the group.
```

## Step by step

1. Open gemini.google.com or the Gemini app and paste the prompt with @OpenTable
2. Follow the on-screen steps to connect OpenTable if Gemini asks
3. Pick from the options Gemini shows and confirm the booking
4. Ask later what reservations you have, or to cancel one

## What you'll get

Three restaurants with real open tables near your time, then a confirmed booking and details to share.
